Bankia Fintech by Innsomnia launches 6th Call
Bankia Fintech by Innsomnia has launched its 6th call to find the best technological solutions to lead the future of the transformation of the banking sector.
The current edition focuses on very specific present and future challenges, in which we hope to attract the best projects and teams to build with them, in the current and future framework of Bankia, valuable solutions for our customers that result in a real benefit to the companies that accompany us, thus continuing with the win-win collaboration model that has characterized us all these years”, highlights Ignacio Cea, Bankia's corporate director of Strategy and Technological Innovation.
Bankia's Business and Innovation areas have defined the challenges for the VI Bankia Fintech call, structured in three main areas: challenges for the Business, challenges for the Organization and challenges for Society
In this sense, this new call is looking for mature projects, but also disruptive ideas that shape the future of the financial sector, especially with regard to sustainability.
The main novelty this year consists of the design of a new structuring of the program that will revolve around 7 major strategic challenges, although other projects that do not respond directly to these axes may be presented:
- Open banking
- Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
- Quantum Computing
- Future of Health
- Technologies with high potential in the banking and financial field, such as Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality.
All these challenges will respond to the strategic objectives set by Bankia for a true transformation in the sector, with an impact on the business, organization and social commitment areas.
Fast Track and a team close to each startup (Innovation and Business)
Among the advantages of the acceleration and mentoring program of Bankia Fintech by Innsomnia, there are training sessions and follow-up by more than 30 managers of the bank's business areas, the possibility to access a new fast track itinerary that would allow the proposals from the selected startups to integrate into the bank structure in record time to develop their full potential; presentations at international hubs or the possibility of accessing an investment fund of more than 20 million euro specially created by Bankia to promote fintech projects developed by startups and scale ups.
